Depending on your financial advisor, commodities are still an investor’s choice. I, personally, have found a more sure precious commodity—our children.

When you consider that approximately 3,200 children are aborted daily in America, and in our city alone 55 meet their death each day, one can’t help but wonder if our children are becoming rare commodities. Could a baby become extinct at this fast rate of needless murders of the innocent? Does anyone care that the investment in children has spiraled downward and most don’t take stock in their own human resources?

Endless reports of the stock market’s progress along with expert analysis give us forecasts on investments, trading and a healthy portfolio. Who will notice the great loss of the greatest investments of all that will live for generations to come—our children? Who will once again invest in them as we weather the greatest loss of our lives—over 50 million lives in the U.S. missing. Whose portfolios have been shredded? Who will bail them out?

It appears to me that the real investments are made with short-sightedness. I enjoy two grandsons who are from our daughter and her husband. When I carried this daughter in my womb, the doctors saw a future problem with my eyes and a pattern that had developed. With each child my eyes hemorrhaged and I gradually lost more and more eyesight. While being examined by my eye specialist, he delivered the bad news and told me that I must choose that day between my eyes or my baby. It immediately rolled off my lips, “I choose my baby.”  He then slammed shut my folder and said, “What a foolish decision!” and left the room. My judge and doctor that day failed to see that the investment I carried was gold and coined as legacy.

We must all have a vision for generations to come. Life is an investment with eternal dividends and multiple returns–future generations. The portfolio is priceless. Take stock in the value of your own life and invest it wisely.
