The New Oprah, how to change your life, motivational leadership

Several months ago some tests indicated that my heart had an eight hour period where it beat irregularly. I was notified and told that I must do an echocardiogram to insure the lower chamber of my heart was good and the blood flow not impeded.

After the test I met with the doctor. I love Dr. Wells. He was the first to place a pacemaker in my heart over twelve years ago when I exchanged my unnatural fatigue with a little battery operated machine that made me bionic. Amazingly, I am now on my second one and living life to the fullest.

When the doctor walked in he first asked, “Written any new books lately?” I told him I had three now and working on some new ones. Excited he said, “You are the new Oprah.” I quickly told him about my new radio show to be launched across the nation and all the traveling and speaking engagements I had been doing since we met last in the operating room. He just kept saying, “You must be the new Oprah.”

As we talked about the heart and my records, I pointed how how much weight I had lost. Then he said, “Now I know you are the new Oprah.” And then he advised me to keep in the direction I was going and not be like her with ups and downs and different clothing sizes. I agreed but wished I could borrow some of those clothes she could not now wear.

I said to my doctor, “You are one of the few who have ever held my heart in your hands.” To which he quickly replied, “There is only One who holds your heart. I just placed electric leads in it for it to go faster.”

“Gail, you will make a great corporate speaker!”

I touched his own heart by pulling out a devotional I had written that I had in my purse. Asking for his hand, I spoke the blessing over him. The Great Physician had given to me a great heart doctor. As I was leaving he said, “You know, Oprah has Dr. Oz and you have Dr. Wells.” Laughing, I told him his contract would be in the mail McSoon.

Who holds your heart?
