Does leadership and communication go hand in hand? Do you have a vision for communication with those you lead?
In addition to speaking and loving people, my passion is leaders. I am a Life Coach. However, I have specialized in my field of coaching and love my new title even more as a Communication Coach.
One of my clients has become a dear friend. He is a doctor, and he is the most coachable man I have ever met. He comes ready with paper and pen in hand and takes incessant notes. He immediately puts my insights and suggestions in his presentations, and his skill is growing. I am convinced that everyone needs a Life coach of some kind and help improving communication skills.
“Iron sharpens iron” is a common phrase that can be applied to the world of communication. There is always room for improvement. Since losing my eyesight, words are my world. I am not moved by what I see, but by what I hear.
Surprisingly, so are most people. Seeing the potential in someone is easy for me. Overlooking flaws and seeing beyond what most see is a gift.
Leaders who communicate well are invaluable.

- Your words deliver life or death.
- Your words will remain in someone’s head for years.
- You have the ability to influence with your words.
- Your words will educate.
- Your words will expand the vision.
- Your words will impact others.
- Your words are important for building and inspiring a team.
- Your words create.
- Your words reveal what is at the core of your heart.
- Your words will build up or tear down.
- Your words empower your day, your life and will do the same for others.
Proverbs 18:21 says,
“Life and death are in the power of the tongue.“
Anyone can improve on their skill. But you must first see the importance of communication and speaking effectively.

Take the time this week to notice what your words do.
- When you speak, does the listener want to hug you, or walk away?
- Do they react or listen?
- Do they move on your insights stated, or do they fall on deaf ears?
