Can you believe I have already been in Germany for three months? It has been snowing and getting colder here, so I have started packing to move to Liberia, Africa to warm up. Yes! I am leaving in less than five days for my mission trip in Liberia and there is so much to do. Please pray for me.

I finally got the trip covered. Thanks to all who helped me. If there are some who want to help me still, I am needing funding for two more shots this week and money for my time in Africa. All my clothes will be purchased there and my basics. Because of the culture we are asked to wear long skirts and dresses.  We will be living first in the capital, Monrovia. After several weeks we will move to a remote area that is all Muslim. I will be working with orphanages and a prison and whatever else we are asked to do for the people of Liberia. I am not sure how much communication I will have with home, since there will be no wi-fi. Oh, yes, I will need to buy some good sandals since we will be on foot and my boots will be left behind in Germany. We hear there is no transportation.

I have had some vivid and disturbing dreams about the mission trip. Please pray for our team of seven to be safe and healthy. The medicine for malaria was too expensive in Germany, so we will not get it until we reach Liberia. I am not sure fully what my expenses will be in Africa, but I think $400 will help me get started. Any gift toward this would be a great help. Thank you. I will be in Africa for ten weeks. I will spend Christmas there. My birthday, too, on January 11.

I love you. Every day is so busy with school and the work they give us to do in the castle. I am growing and learning. I do not know what to expect from this point, but I am excited to go and serve in Jesus name. I am learning the joy of giving my life away and surrendering to His purposes. I hope you are doing the same.
