Today is my husband’s birthday. Tony McWilliams is 58 and struggling a bit on how fast the years have gone by. I tell him men only get more handsome and sophisticated.

While he has been away getting his driver’s license renewed, it was suggested to me that the rest of September be in honor of a man who has selflessly given to his family and been the wind under our family’s feet—especially mine. Tony held me tightly in his arms that Christmas morning when in one night our world changed forever and I went from perfect eyesight to shadowy darkness. I was clueless that I was carrying our first daughter. I recently told Tony that we wanted a family but God wanted a story for this time in history. Now He has given us the world.

Tony is a quiet but stable man who serves everyone with little time or expense spent on himself. Though extremely talented and a gifted teacher, he sits through countless engagements and hears my same stories and laughs; escorts me to my platform and then waits patiently until I am finished before taking me to the back of the room to sign books. He has attended more women’s events than any woman I know and encourages me to keep reaching my highest calling.  He has done domestic things and helped me care for my children. He has looked over my makeup and helped me where touch-ups were needed, and so much more. He has kept the Word of God as high importance in our lives and family and never looked back. Grace, patience and hard work has framed him while the masterpiece of his own DNA is a genuine servant leader. What I do I could not do without my loyal and loving husband.

Well, today is his day and I have made an executive decision.  If you want, join me in the suggestion of a friend who said to give a gift to Tony of some combination of 58, till the end of September. Whether it is $58, or $580, or perhaps, $100.58—you can make it out directly to Tony, or give on line for your tax deduction through our ministry.  It is just about honoring this man of God who has been faithful in little and in much. His covenant love to God and me and our family is a testimony of true love. Thank you Tony for setting us on the course we still walk–
“We will not retreat.”

My personal wish and prayer for my husband this 58th birthday is Isaiah 58–Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord;
And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth,
And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father.””

Thanks to all who join us in honoring a true man of God.

Happy Birthday Tony McWilliams!
